we are in Marina di Bibbona, a wonderful seaside resort characterized by dream beaches and pine forests but above all equipped with first-rate logistics and organisation, capable of performing well even in more prestigious competitions than ours. Departure from the city center, within a few kilometers we find ourselves immersed in the Magona forest. A climb of just over 300 meters above sea level, followed by a splendid downhill hilly route, will catapult us into the valley of the La Sterza river. Here begins the first real important climb, 660 meters of altitude to be done in one go. We will cross the splendid medieval village of La Sassa but there is no time to visit it, it will be literally engulfed by the unleashed watts, the goal is the grand prix of the mountain 3 km higher. Enchanting views and scenery characterize the climb but once we reach the top there is no time to rest, we immediately throw ourselves into one of the most challenging single traks in the area. It’s not for the faint of heart, it takes grit, determination, courage and a lot of technique to quickly return to near sea level. We are about halfway through the race in terms of km and difference in altitude but taking a breath is not the characteristic of this competition, we start climbing again for about 300 meters to descend again on a route where driving technique is king. We continue in a riot of single trak uphill and downhill enlivened by splendid and enchanting views overlooking the sea. Once we arrive at the town of Bibbona, a handful of km on the plain separate us from the coveted finish line and you will have completed one of the races that will remain in your heart with 73 km covered and a positive difference in altitude of 1800 m.

Up to this point the route is the same as the Marathon but the classic differs here. An important climb of about 300 meters of altitude begins where the fastest will be able to make the difference, especially in the last stretch where the slope becomes important but not impossible. Once at the summit, driving technique will reign supreme, a series of single traks both uphill and downhill will accompany us to the town of Bibbona. Once this objective has been achieved, only a handful of km on the flat will separate us from the coveted finish line and you will have closed one of the races that will remain in your heart with 57 km covered and a positive difference in altitude of 1200 m.
