We are in Marina di Bibbona, a beautiful seaside resort with dream beaches and pinewoods, but above all with first-class logistics and organisation, capable of making a name for itself even in the most prestigious races. Departure from the city centre, within a few kilometres we are immersed in the Magona wood. A climb of just over 300 metres of dsl, followed by a splendid downhill valley route, will catapult us into the valley of the river La Sterza. Here begins the first real important climb, 660 metres of dsl to be done all in one breath. we will cross the beautiful medieval village of La Sassa but there is no time to visit it, it will be literally engulfed by the watts unleashed, the goal is the grand prize of the mountain 3 km higher. Views and beautiful scenery characterize the climb but once at the top there is no time to rest, we throw immediately in one of the most challenging single trak of the area. It’s not for the faint-hearted, you need grit, determination, courage and a lot of technique to return quickly to near sea level. We’re about halfway through the race in terms of km and elevation gain, but catching our breath isn’t what this competition is all about. We start climbing again for about 300 metres and then descend again on a course where riding technique is the master. We continue in a riot of uphill and downhill single traks, cheered by splendid and enchanting views of the sea. Once we reached the village of Bibbona, a handful of kilometres on the flat separated us from the coveted finish line.

Only then will we be able to say “I WAS THERE”.

We are in Marina di Bibbona, a beautiful seaside resort with dream beaches and pinewoods, but above all with first-class logistics and organisation, capable of making a name for itself even in the most prestigious races. Departure from the city centre, within a few kilometres we are immersed in the Magona forest. A climb of just over 300 metres of dsl, followed by a splendid downhill valley route, will catapult us into the valley of the river La Sterza. Up to this point the route is the same as that of the Marathon, but the classic here differs. Starts an important climb of about 300 meters of dsl where the fastest will be able to make a difference, especially in the last section where the slope becomes important but not impossible. Once at the top it will be the driving technique that will be the master, a series of single trak both uphill and downhill will accompany us to the village of Bibbona. Once there, only a handful of kilometres on the flat will separate us from the finish line.

Only then will we be able to say “I WAS THERE”.
